For people who love birding, a binoculars is a vital part of their equipment. Without a binoculars you would rarely be able to recognize a bird from a large distance. Most people who go birding choose between two different types of binoculars. This has to do with the fact that birds can be spotted in vast open field, but also in heavily forested areas. There really is no binoculars who would perform perfectly in both situations. That's why it is important for a birder to know which situation will apply the most on yourself.
Magnification
Normally, binoculars with a magnification of 7 or 8 times would suffice for most situations. The larger field-of-view of these binoculars will make it easier to spot and follow birds from a large distance. With a 10x42 binoculars or higher it will become much easier to observe a bird in detail. When you use a binoculars with a high magnification it might become a bit harder to keep it in focus without shaking. This problem can be solved by mounting your binoculars on a tripod with a tripod adapter. Below you will some example of binoculars which are suitable for birding.
