Everybody needs passport photos these days. These are needed for a passport, ID-card, driver's license, ov-card or even a schoolpass. Because of this, there is a great demand for passport photos.

For shopkeepers taking passport photos is a fun activity, why?

• It generates extra traffic in your shop which can lead to extra purchases.
• There is an endless product demand: everyone needs new passport photos periodically.
• Wide audience: every Dutch person needs passport photos. This is also mandatory for babies.

Is Passport Photography Something for you?

In order to deliver good quality passport photos, much less is needed than you might think. Benèl already delivers passport photo systems, including printer and software from about € 1650,-. You can supplement this with the necessary photo studio lighting, a passport photo stool, etc. if you wish. These systems are very easy to use, so everyone can work with them. And you can already start a passport photo studio in a room of approx. 1.5 x 2.5 meters (width x depth)!

What is needed to set up a Passport Photo Studio?

• Camera to take the photos (we recommend a Canon EOS DSLR camera.
• Computer or Laptop with Windows 7, 8 or 10 to support the IdPhotos Passport Software
• Printer to print the passport photos (we recommend the DNP QW410 or DNP DS-RX1HS)
• Passport photo studio lighting
• Passport photo studio background
• Passport photo stool
• Passport photo cutting pliers

Different backgrounds can be used to create a passport, identity and driving license or holiday or work visa. The following backgrounds are suitable for taking these passport photos;

ID Photos™ Pro Pasfoto Software

ID Photos™ Pro is an advanced, yet easy-to-use program designed for automatic image processing of passport photos to meet the specific requirements of national and international ID regulations.

The automatic face detection and biometric correction makes it easy for anyone to create a good passport photo. With the help of the program you can make passport photos for all official Dutch documents or more than 130 different documents for more than 40 countries.

It is possible to create a layout yourself, this way you decide how many passport photos and print. Two different photos on 1 print? This is no problem, the two different passport photos can easily be dragged into the layout.

The software works on Windows 7, 8 and 10 (32 and 64 bits) and can be linked to all digital cameras, photo printers and minilabs. If you would like to be able to use the software on multiple computers, it is best to choose the ID Photos Passport photo software on dongel. Standard license
New license that can be used by everyone on one PC. Includes 12 months of updates and support

Standard license with dongle
Identical to the above, but the license is on a USB stick. So you can easily switch between PCs

Upgrade subscription
Especially for people whose subscription has expired for more than a year, but who have bought a license before. Cannot be used when a license has never been active.

Update subscription
To be used only if one of the above three licenses has been purchased in the past. 12 months extra updates and support. Renewal takes effect when the current subscription expires.

Secured cloud storage
Since passport photos can no longer be sent by e-mail, this service still allows you to give photos digitally to customers. This service can only be used in combination with an expired subscription. Valid for 12 months.

DNP Windows Drivers for ID Photos Pro Software

Before installing the DNP Printers, you should first install the driver for your Windows version before connecting the printer to your computer. These printer drivers can be found on the included DVD or by clicking on this link.

Passport Matrix
The Passport Photo Matrix is the acceptance criteria for the passport photo in Dutch travel documents. This is a special matrix that can be used to check whether the passport photo meets all legal requirements. Previously, this matrix could be requested from the municipality, but unfortunately this is no longer possible. This can still be done on the page of the Dutch Ministry. Here you will find an overview of the Rijksdienst voor Identiteitsgegevens with the passport photo requirements (model 2020).
