Octaboxes

The purpose of an Octabox is to create a good spread light; the same effect what a cloud would do to sunlight on a cloudy day. The subject then comes forward in the most naturally way. On the inside of a octabox is a silver reflective layer, which focuses the light before it leaves the front of the Octabox. This ensures an maximum light output. On the front of an octabox you can use a diffuse cloth or honeycomb to soften the light.
